The Farmer’s Butcher is a unique meat supplier that is dedicated to creating connections between customers and the farmers who raise the animals. Sylvia, the Primary Producer at Bass Coast Farm, has been using low stress stock handling techniques to farm Angus beef and Australian White lamb for the past 13 years. She has built a network of primary producers who share the same ethos regarding livestock management and small-scale production.
Sylva commissioned me to photograph her meat products for her newly opened store in Brighton and some lifestyle images of her farm and livestock. We came up with a clean minimal look for the food photography to let the high quality produce speak for itself with minimal styling. I spent an afternoon at her gorgeous farm on the Bass coast where we captured her at work with the animals.
