In Formation, photographer Hannah Caldwell explores the sculptural beauty of poppies. The series distills organic form into minimalist compositions where light, texture, and shadow reveal the delicate architecture of each bloom.

Drawing on her background in fine art and commercial photography, Caldwell uses cinematic lighting to emphasise the poppy’s duality — its fragility and strength, simplicity and complexity. Each image invites quiet reflection, encouraging the viewer to see beyond the surface and into the intricate design of nature itself.
