Capturing a New Era at Atria, The Ritz-Carlton

It was an honour to collaborate with Ritz Carlton Melbourne on a campaign to announce the new era of its signature restaurant, Atria. I was particularly thrilled as the in-house team developed the brief around my existing portfolio of work with similar fine dining establishments and producers. Perched on level 80, the project was about capturing the very essence of the Atria dining experience—a story told through its elevated menu, world-class cocktails, and breathtaking city views.

Working in close partnership with the team, we created a visual narrative that celebrated the new Executive Chef’s creative direction. A key part of the brief was to shoot on a variety of the venue’s own surfaces—from textured stone to rich textiles—directly tying the food to the unique materiality of the interiors. This approach focused on the artistry of each dish, highlighting the vibrant textures of locally sourced produce and the thoughtful plating that speaks to both seasonality and sophistication. Beyond the menu, we captured intimate portraits of the chef and his team and the exquisite detail of the cocktails to build a complete and compelling story.

Using a blend of natural and shaped studio light, the goal was to bring a tangible warmth and depth to each frame—balancing a polished, editorial finish with the inviting energy of a truly world-class hospitality experience.

The final images are now being featured across The Ritz-Carlton’s press releases and digital channels, introducing the new vision for Atria to Melbourne’s fine dining audience.
