FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of interior photography do you offer?
I offer a range of interior photography services across commercial, retail, hospitality, and residential spaces. Whether you’re a designer, architect, property developer, or brand, I create images that reflect your vision while capturing the mood, light, and detail of each space.

Where are you based and do you travel for shoots?
I’m based in Melbourne and regularly work with clients across Victoria and interstate. I’m also available for national and international projects—just get in touch to discuss travel and logistics.

What’s your approach to lighting in interior photography?
I work with both natural and studio lighting depending on the space and mood. My goal is to use light to enhance texture, shape, and design—always making sure the space feels authentic and inviting.

Do you help with styling the space?
Yes. I can work with your stylist, or bring in one of my regular collaborators. Styling plays a key role in elevating the space and ensuring the visual storytelling aligns with your brand.

How long does an interior shoot take?
This varies based on the size and complexity of the space. A single-room shoot may take 2–3 hours, while larger commercial properties often require a half-day or full-day shoot. I’ll always advise on timing once I see the brief or floor plan.

Can you photograph at a specific time of day (e.g., dawn or dusk)?
Absolutely. Light plays a crucial role in interior photography. For projects requiring soft morning light or dramatic dusk imagery, I can schedule the shoot around those windows to get the most atmospheric results.

What do I need to do to prepare the space?
Ahead of the shoot, it’s important that the space is clean, decluttered, and ready to be photographed. This means removing any personal items, cords, or unnecessary objects that could distract from the hero elements of the shot. I recommend fully decluttering before the shoot day to maximise time on set and ensure an efficient workflow. If we’re including styled elements—such as flowers, food, soft furnishings, or other props—these should be on hand and ready to go. We’ll coordinate styling details in advance so everything is considered and aligned with the brief. A well-prepared space allows us to focus on creating strong, intentional imagery with minimal delays.

How are the final images delivered?
Images are delivered via an online gallery in high-resolution for print and web-optimized formats for digital use. Licensing terms will be agreed upon before the shoot and can be tailored to your needs.

Do you offer retouching?
Yes. All final images are professionally retouched to enhance light, remove distractions, and ensure visual consistency—without altering the integrity of the space.

What’s the cost of interior photography?
Pricing depends on the scope of the shoot—number of rooms, time required, styling, and intended usage. I offer both half-day and full-day rates, and can provide a tailored quote once I understand your project requirements.
