Case Study: Décor Design Series – Premium Pantry Photography
Client: Décor
Creative Direction: Noisy Beast
Photography: Hannah Caldwell
Food Styling: Carmel Gohar
Project Overview
I recently had the pleasure of working with Décor on a beautifully considered brief for their new Design Series—a premium range of pantry containers that blends sleek, modern aesthetics with everyday functionality.
The project called for a series of recipe-led images that would showcase the containers in real-life use while elevating simple pantry staples into something visually rich and inspiring. Each image needed to capture the warmth, texture, and atmosphere of home cooking—brought to life through my signature dark and moody style.
Creative Approach
The brief included five recipes, each requiring both a process shot and a final plated dish. From decadent chocolate brownies to rustic banana bread, the aim was to create cinematic images that felt elevated yet authentic—perfectly aligning with Décor’s modern and refined design ethos.
We worked with the brilliant Carmel Gohar on food and prop styling, ensuring each frame had a tactile, lived-in quality while remaining polished and on-brand.
