A Project I Loved: Creating the Story for Décor’s New Packaging

Every now and then, a brief lands in your inbox that feels like it was written just for you. That’s exactly how I felt when the team at Noisy Beast reached out about a new project for Décor. They were launching their stunningly sleek Design Series, and they needed photography for the packaging that would make people stop and feel something.

Incorporating food packaging photography into our process allowed us to elevate the entire aesthetic of the project.

The vision was pure storytelling. We weren’t just taking pictures of food; we were tasked with creating a mood. The challenge was to capture the feeling of elevated, beautiful home baking in a way that would stand out on the shelf. It was a perfect match for my dark, moody, and atmospheric style.

This experience truly showcased the power of food packaging photography in enhancing product presentation.

This is where the best work happens—in collaboration. Working with the brilliant food stylist Carmel Gohar, we spent the day in the studio playing with light and shadow. We wanted to capture the rich, dark crumbs of a brownie, the soft texture of banana bread, and the tactile feeling of delicious freshly baked food. It wasn’t just about making things look pretty; it was about making them feel real.

Seeing those images now, living on the final packaging for the Design Series, is the best part of what I do. It was a joy to help create the world for this beautiful product, and I’m so proud of the story we were able to tell together.
