Advertising Photography FAQ
Advertising, Food & Product Photography FAQ
What kind of advertising photography do you shoot?
I work across food, product, and lifestyle advertising photography, creating images that help brands connect with people in a real, emotional way. My work spans packaging, campaigns, and editorial shoots — from glossy FMCG products to restaurant hero dishes and everything in between.
Recent projects include work for The Ritz-Carlton Melbourne, Décor, Lemnos Foods, McCain, and B2C Furniture— each one with its own creative challenge and visual language. Whether it’s bold and cinematic or light and approachable, my goal is always the same: to make your brand look its best.
How does the process work?
It starts with a conversation. We’ll talk about your goals, audience, and what you want the images to communicate. I’ll then send through an estimate that includes shoot time, production, and usage. Once confirmed, we’ll plan the details — from shot lists and styling through to lighting and props.
Every project is a collaboration, and I make sure it feels organised, creative, and enjoyable from start to finish.
Do you photograph both food and products?
Yes, often both at once! Many of my advertising shoots combine food, beverage, and product photography to tell a complete brand story. From premium FMCG campaigns to restaurant content or styled eCommerce imagery, I bring a consistent visual style that feels polished but still natural.
Where do you usually shoot?
That depends on the concept. I shoot both in-studio and on-location across Melbourne and beyond. Studio shoots are great for precision and control — ideal for packaging or product work — while location shoots capture atmosphere and authenticity, perfect for hospitality, lifestyle, or brand storytelling.
Can you manage production and styling too?
Yes — I have an amazing team of producers, stylists, and assistants who I collaborate with regularly. We can look after everything from location sourcing and props to food styling and logistics, so you can relax knowing the creative and production sides are covered.
How does licensing work?
Licensing is simply about where and how the images will be used — for example, digital ads, print campaigns, packaging, or social media. We’ll tailor a usage term that fits your needs and budget, so it’s fair and transparent.
How far in advance should I book?
Ideally a few weeks ahead, especially for larger campaigns that need more prep time. Smaller studio shoots can usually be booked with less notice, depending on my schedule.
How do we get started?
If you’re planning a campaign, launching a new product, or simply want to refresh your brand imagery — I’d love to chat.
